Fire Station 87 Closure – Public Meeting Scheduled
June 18th, 2013The Contra Costa County Fire Protection District will be hosting a meeting to discuss the impending closure of Fire Station 87 on West Leland Road in Pittsburg. The closure is necessary to close a budget deficit due to reduced revenues from declining property taxes, coupled with increasing costs to the Fire District for personnel and general operations. The fire station is scheduled to close on July 8, 2013.

Location: Pittsburg City Hall, Council Chambers, 65 Civic Ave.
The Fire Chief will be joined by members of the Board of Directors at this meeting. Fire District staff and Board members will be available to answer questions regarding the closure and efforts to reduce the impact to the community during the meeting.
