Con-Fire Launches Off!
April 30th, 2012The Contra Costa County Fire Protection District, known as “Con Fire” launches its official blog site today! Con Fire now has a new home to educate the community, advise the public of important safety reminders, upcoming events, emergency incidents, and other useful information about fire safety and the fire district that serves 9 cities and over 600,000 people in Contra Costa County. Con Fire plans to engage the community by keeping them informed through this site, @contracostafire on Twitter, www.facebook.com/contracostafire our YouTube channel www.youtube.com/cccfpdtv and our traditional web site www.cccfpd.org. The primary purpose of all our social media platforms is to keep the community informed on major incidents and safety information through our Public Information Officer (PIO). Soon, we will also launch our community outreach program information through a video blog series, audiocasts, and related articles. The Con Fire blog is equipped to work on all major platforms of multimedia. The blog is able to be read in Spanish and has capabilities for the blind in screen reading formats. Along with the public’s help we can make Contra Costa County a well informed and safer community for all.watch?v=x_PWoVxpf00
