Pleasant Hill Structure Fire
March 31st, 2013At 4:23pm on Saturday, March 30th Contra Costa County Fire Protection District crews responded to a residential structure fire at 1949 Pleasant Hill Road in Pleasant Hill. Upon arrival, fire crews were met with large amounts of smoke around the residence and into the street. The main body of fire was identified to be in the garage of the single story residence. Three occupants were inside the home at the time. All were able to exit the home. Neighbors assisted with removing one of the disabled occupants. There were no injuries to residents or firefighting personnel.
Through the efforts of fire responding units from Pleasant Hill, Walnut Creek, Lafayette, and Concord the fire was kept to the garage and only smoke and water damage was incurred to the remainder of the home. Firefighters brought the fire under control in approximately 30 minutes. A damage estimate was not available. Assistance was provided by Pleasant Hill P.D. during the incident for traffic control on this heavily travelled thoroughfare.
