RUSHING TO SAVE HEART ATTACK PATIENTS
May 2nd, 2012Rapid intervention by firefighter-paramedics and quick transport by ambulances, along with doctors and nurses, all work together to bring new technology and life saving skills to heart attack patients. Tonight, on KQED, a program airs with local stories to highlight this new effort to reduce the time it takes from a person recognizing the symptoms of a heart attack to the time they receive life saving treatment at the hospital.
